About Lauren
Lauren Greenfield is a costume maker from Pennsylvania and Connecticut now living in New York City. Her love of garment construction first started when she was learning to sew doll clothes for herself and her sister growing up. Now, Lauren has worked around the country as a stitcher across theatre, ballet, and opera. She recently graduated from Penn State University with her costume BFA in December 2024.
With the Penn State School of Theatre, Lauren recently draped for the production of Sweeney Todd and focused on historical dress patterning and construction in class. In particular, she explored the use of CLO3D patterning software in theatrical pattern drafting. Outside of the costume shop, Lauren has worked as an intern for the School of Theatre Historical Fashion Archive, where she documented, maintained, and recreated garments from the collection to develop its lasting educational value.
