Half bodice mockup on the right.
The flat pattern was developed based on a block drafted by draper Laura Robinson and fit to the performer in Delaware while I stayed at the Penn State costume shop.

No mockup needed for this highly pleated dirndl-style skirt. For the sake of quick changes, the petticoat is slashed open at center front and stitched to the waist of the skirt so she can step into the ensemble as a whole.
Front and back of the dress before it was sent for a first fitting out of state.
